Featuring vintage crochet patterns found in Australian publications, including the Australian Women's Weekly and the Australian Woman's Mirror, this book has instructions for a variety of garments, accessories, toys and homewares.

Each pattern will be accompanied by illustrations from the original publications and modern photographs of the newly-crochet pattern. Occasional text boxes trace social, cultural and historical threads connected to crochet such as the history of the 'granny square', finger crocheting, significant Australian pattern-makers and more.

An introduction includes some basics of crochet and how to understand and resize vintage patterns.
